Ammonia-Urea projects: Lot of activity coming up ahead

Ammonia-Urea Brownfield Project
8Cost - Rs 6000 Crore
8Project Description: Toyo Engineering, Tecnimont, Wuhuan Engineering, and L& T are in the race of Talcher Fertilizer Limited's Coal based ammonia-urea unit with a capacity 2200 MTPD of ammonia, 3850 MTPD of urea and 70 MW of Captive power plant at Talcher in Orissa. Project consultant is PDIL. The pre-project activity contract has been awarded but work is still to start.
8Project Event: The LSTK contractor is likely to be finalized in January 2019, Tender for the long lead item is likely to be released in February 2019.

Coal Gasification Unit Greenfield Project

8Project Description: A Fertilizer Company is in the contracting phase for a greenfield Coal gasification unit for its ammonia-urea plant with a capacity 2200 MTPD of ammonia, 3850 MTPD of urea and 70 MW of Captive power plant at Talcher in Orissa. Project consultant is PDIL. Shell has been selected as licensors for the coal gasification unit. Pre-project work is likely to be start in October 2018.
8Project Event: L&T, Tata Project, Wuhuan Engineering and one another Chinese company is in the race to become the LSTK contractor. Tender finalization in January 2019.
